This was one of those great ideas from the CCSA magazine. Our version made by Jo Udermann.
To make the inside of the flowers, we took acid-free scrapbook paper and micron pens and had them write inspiring words. We cut the paper to fit under a clear round "bauble" marble, then brushed on weldbond adhesive on the top of the paper. After adhering the bottom of the bauble and the paper, we brushed on adhesive to the bottom of the paper and set the piece on the mosaic. You can certainly make these ahead and just keep them for future projects.
Our campers donated their time & creativity to make this mosaic one week during summer 2010. They were very proud of their work. This piece is being donated to auction to benefit the Florida Baptist Children's Homes.
This is Nicole. She is 14. She is a lovely girl, but a perfectionist. We love her owl theme!
this was made by a friend of the birthday mom. that's a good friend!
This years' design was created by Lakeland graphic artist Natalie Fink, of Fink Inc. They come with a hand-made mini logo stamped bag with tissue paper, and a painted ceramic tag. The tags can also be used as a bead or pendant!
Ok it may be old. It was another thrift store find and this fall it will be mosaic'ed. It seats 4-6, and makes for an adorable front window...especially when lovely customers are using it!
I'm not sure why, but when i saw this sink at Family Thrift store in Ft Myers, FL, i just had to do something with it. i used leftover pool tiles that were rescued from the trash from a pool contractor, so i supposed the whole thing is repurposed. Its used as a display at PicassoZ for some of our mosaic glass. It was just for fun. Here is my blog post about it
Jack o Lantern's dont have to be orange, black and scary...sometimes they can be a splash of Vera Bradley! Painted by Ashley Kilbourn. Personalizable pumpkins are available at PicassoZ through a special order. They come with a light kit too.
wooo-this one is hard to explain. let me see if i can get a video. its easier to do than it looks...
A fun variation of a well known bumper sticker. If you look closely you can see a few coffee beans painted into the swirls. We love Gare's new hand-built looking impression mugs,
painted on a sushi plate, used lots of white duncan french dimensions for swirls on her cuffs, and added a holly addon. trimmed with snowflakes at picnik.com.
we wanted to photograph this without the hands. Its a charger with a hole drilled in the center to create a clock. i love the warm, cozy plaid around the rim! We used add-ons as the numbers to create a 3-d effect.
Our new Mickey Mouse ornaments by Disney, painted in baby boy blue.
we just love artist ashley's swirls, so we've come up with lots of ideas for variations on her "swirled peace" mug. this saying was suggested by Shelly Grogan from our Facebook Contest, Fall, 09. This one's for you, Shel.
wow-this customer painted an espresso machine on his mug. awe-some. i have the sudden urge for a caramel macchiato.
in the style of "urban art" this is a gorgeous mug painted by one of our customers.
